Build your own Multi function Google Photo Clock with Weather



A Homemade Wifi Device that can be very useful at home or as a personal item especially when the Covid-19 pandemic is still ongoing. Although using an app in the phone can achieve all this, it's still more intuitive to have a dedicated photo viewer for this purpose with low cost and low power consumption.This is especially useful when your old folks at home don't use smart phones at all and just want to get some updates from you & family when you are travelling. All these photo frames are built using the esp32 chipset with 3D-printed case which is suitable for either battery operated or usb-powered by your portable phone batteries or even wireless charging. It's size can range from 1.14" keychain to 3.5" handheld or desktop purpose to still maintain a low power operation. It's photo content is extracted from the cloud(personal google photo albums). Press button is used to wakeup the device from sleep mode or switch between function modes: Landscape photo view, OpenWeathermap report, uncanny eyes, Portrait photo view For bigger display system, a PIR sensor is used to wake it up from sleep mode with motion detection and an accelerometer to autodetect the rotation of the device to switch between function modes.
